Description
FOXGLOVE MIX (Digitalis purpurea) A mix of white's, pink's, purples and lavenders. An introduced wildflower from the U.K where it still grows wild in parks, woodlands and along roadsides. Easy to grow from seed. Start seeds in a seed tray or directly in the garden. SOW on surface (needs light to germinate) and scatter some soil thinly over the seed. Water lightly to keep moist. When soil temps reach 70F germination should occur in about 2 weeks. The seedlings are very, very small, so water lightly. Transplant or thin when seedlings are 2-3" tall. Foxgloves like part sun but can do full sun with steady water. You usually won't get flowers the first year, but the second year watch out! The flower spikes make great cut flowers. Each plant produces thousands of seeds, so if you don't cut all the flowers, foxglove will reseed themselves. Foxgloves are pretty much a carefree plant after seedlings are established. Medium water and a little fertilizer. Keep mature plants about 12"-16"apart. Also does well in containers.2500+ quality seeds per order. Thank you! Digitalis purpurea. Perennial. Part sun/Full sun. Spring, soil temp 60F+. SOW scatter on surface, scatter soil over seeds. Keep moist. Germination 14-28 Days. Thin to 12". Height up to 60" x 12" Wide. Medium water. Light fertilizer.
