MEXICAN HAT (Ratibida columnaris) Perennial Yellow/red blooms 2 to 3 feet tall Full Sun Hardy zones 3 to 10 The blooms have a dark center that protrudes up in the shape of a tube. At the base is a single row of dark red petals are tinged with yellow. Flower shape resembles a mexican hat. Blooms June to September. Is quite drought tolerant, does well in hot humid climates, best grown in well drained soil. Also, makes a great cut flower. Comes with planting instructions.
