All my plants are grown in my own personal gardens, ponds, and woodlands. I ship all plants BARE ROOT, meaning your plants will be freshly dug the morning I send to you, wrapped in wet toweling, then placed in plastic zip bags for shipping. I also trim the plants back for better shipping, and less transplant shock once you get them planted. Please contact me right away if you have any questions or concerns. Once received, please plant immediately. Any remaining foliage should be expected to wilt or wither when transplanting... THIS DOES NOT MEAN PLANTS ARE DEAD. Geranium maculatum, the wild geranium, spotted geranium, or wood geranium, is a perennial plant native to woodland in eastern North America, from southern Manitoba and southwestern Quebec south to Alabama and Georgia and west to Oklahoma and South Dakota. It has lovely dissected, leaves, beautiful pinkish purple flowers, and it readily spreads forming stunning patches that everything from bees to butterflies cant resist. Mostly found in woodlands in the wild, it does just as well in full sun. Bloom time April- July. Hardy in zones 3-8 Geranium maculatum Geranium maculatum L. In addition to its flowers, this perennial is well known for its 5- to 6-parted, deeply cut leaves. It colonizes by thick rhizomes but is not aggressive. Geraniums are recognized by their palmately-lobed leaves and distinctive capsules. Bicknells Cranesbill (G. bicknellii) has much smaller flowers, notched petals, and more finely cut leaves.
