Greater quaking grass has flowers in pressed spikelets that dangle from stems as thin as French wire drop earrings. The flower heads turn from green to a golden hue as summer wanes and dance upon the slightest breeze, adding a lively note to gardens. This heirloom was grown in many an early garden.
